For those of you that don't know, I got laid off about 2 weeks ago from my job at the Wal-Mart Home Office. Don't cry for me- I still get paid until the end of April. Plus, I realized how much I like staying at home w/ Noah. To be honest, before I started working, I didn't really enjoy staying at home because in the back of my mind, I always thought that I wasn't meant to. I felt like I would excel in the corporate environment and that staying home was holding me back from my "true dreams." HA! After my short experience working, I fully realize that my place is in the home. I'm truly content here and am having so much more fun then I have ever had! I'm becoming more domesticated...aka: trying new recipies, tackling home projects, reading more, hanging out w/ other moms, etc. Noah and I leave the house everyday to go on different adventures: the library, car wash, shopping ( I LOVE the new Target in Rogers!), walks, & play groups to name a few.
We are seriously lovin' life!!!

That's awesome Court. I felt bad for saying "congratulations" on Facebook after I found out that you were laid off. I think it's great though that you are having so much fun enjoying your little guy. I can't tell you how much I wish I could spend more time with Gracie. :)
Thanks for the sweet post on stay at home moms! It really is fulfilling...and don't fool yourself- it is WORK too! I'm glad that we'll be able to talk more :)!
that's so good to hear. seriously, i think a lot of women have feelings like that. i know i have worried about it. it's good to hear that staying at home is fulfilling. i'm glad you are doing well.
thanks! and I thought it wasn't a very good picture of me... haha.
Glad everything is going well with staying home! I think its definitley an adjustement probably, but once you get used to it, there is probably nothing better!!
love ya.
I'm so happy for your discoveries - you look great and Noah is absolutely adorable!
Yay!! I have to admit that when I heard you got laid off, one of the first things I thought was, now she can regularly blog again! =) I missed your frequent updates (I guess I could pick up the phone and call...). I'm really glad you're loving everything about your life right now and finding your niche at home. I love the newest pictures and I'm so glad you're having so much fun! Miss you! =)
That's good to hear... sometimes I wonder what it will be like when child #2 comes along and I have to quit my job and stay home full time... it scares me! I feel like I would go stir crazy being a stay at home mom but it sounds like you had a lot of the same thoughts so it's good to hear it has worked out well for you.
I felt the exact same way...I tried out working, and it just didn't feel right.
It's awesome it all worked out for you! I hope you enjoy your new found passion...
I hear ya, it was hard transition from full time job to full time mom. Now that it's getting warmer there is so much more to do, we have a few of us mom's that get together to for play dates at the park and stuff your welcome to join.
It is really fulfilling staying at home, and now your little guy gets to spend all his time with you. Enjoy the one on one, I didn't know Target was open! I'm going to have to go, hmm not sure if I'm brave enough to go with 4 little ones yet but I'm glad it's open.
That's neat Courtney! Staying at home is definitely an adjustment and very different from anything out there, but it can be so so fulfilling and so much fun too!
Sorry about the job, but I am really glad that you are happy at home. I think it takes a special kind of person to stay home with a baby full-time. Your Noah is sure cute!
HE IS DARLING! I'm so glad you love life at home. You're awesome and your boys are lucky.
Wooohoo! Welcome to the mama club! It might not always be easy but it is very rewarding! I was EXTREMELY hard on myself at first and felt out of place but I am over it now. And I tell you what girl, I work harder now then ever! We have to set up some play dates! And some scrappin' nights!!!
