Happy Birthday Noah!!!

I feel like the luckiest mom in the world to have such a good little boy. Can he really be one already? Here are some of the things I've learned over the last year:

• How to live off of less sleep
• How to do most everything with only one hand (as I hold baby in the other)
• Every single word to the movies, Toy Story and Shrek (Noah's favs)
• How to discount shop
• The world of stay at home moms, storytimes, playdates, etc
• Every park nearby
• That anything can be a toy
• How to speak in baby
• How hard it is to lose baby weight

However, I've got to say, Noah's learned more than me this year! It's so fun to watch him grow.

A Saturday morning

Last weekend, we woke up early and drove to Devil's Den for a short day hike. Noah especially liked the bugs, sticks, and dirt. He's 100% boy! Here's a few pics from the day:

My Little Mozart

So, I started teaching piano lessons 2 weeks ago. I have 6 students (not including Noah!) and I looooove it! Since the piano is getting used a lot more, Noah has decided that it is the coolest thing in our house. He will crawl (or now walk) over to the piano and try to climb up it. He quickly figured out how to turn on the drums and metronome (see big red button). What a little studly!

We're Moving...

to a HOUSE!!!

Move in date: August 1

Best of all: We aren't paying rent!!! We have been blessed with the opportunity to save money and live in this house while the owners are in India working for Wal-Mart. We'll be here for a minimum of a year, but it could be 2, 3, 4...??? I wish I had pictures of the yard. All I can say is that Noah will be in heaven. Come visit! We are so excited!!!

Noah News

The following pictures were on the computer from the last week or two. Of course they are of Noah. I love taking pictures of him b/c they all melt me. I'm so lucky as a mom to have a little boy that is sooooo good and so cute! This last week, he's learned to:

• drink out of a straw
• stand- he's really working on this one
• drink whole milk (that's a first) (can you believe he'll be ONE on the 27th?)
• whistle (he tries, it's so cute.)
• get down from the couch w/o injury
• wave hello and goodbye when he hears the word "hi" or "bye"

and today he took his first steps!!! two wobbly steps. in the kitchen. I jumped up and down.

Courtney: "Tell me about this lady. What does she look like?"

Jared: "Well...she has dark hair."

Courtney: "Like mine?"

Jared: "Yes, but it's shiny."

Courtney: "You don't think my hair is shiny?"

Jared (grabbing a strand of my hair): "No, it's not shiny at all. Some people have shiny hair and yours is like this. Not shiny."
